What is the cause of morning sickness

There are a number of reasons for morning sickness during pregnancy. Many people think it is the rapidly rising human chronic gonadotropin( HCG) that is the main contributor. The timing of the rise in the HCG and the symptoms of Morning sickness. They associate with each other.Estragon seems to be the other offender. There is no clear research providing this to be true.

Some woman says that their sense of smell is more sensitive during pregnancy this causes a hyperactive gag reflex. Though we can not explain why this occurs.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)  view pregnancy as the time when the essence, Qi and the blood collect in the lower abdomen to create the new life.

This collection together in the uterus cause a blockage in the Chong Mai or Penetrating Vessel. The Chong Mai, known as the sea of blood is a that runs vertically from your head to your genitalia .the obstruction in this leads to the stomach gi, which is what causes nausea and vomiting in morning sickness.

We will individually diagnose and treat you accordingly. Please remember that Chinese medical diagnosis is significantly different to the treatment from that of western treatment.
We diagnose both subtle and severe organ pathologies, It is important to ensure that your practitioner is licensed, is in the NCCAOM certified practitioners of Chinese medicine. This ensures your practitioners are thoroughly trained and educated in western pathology, diagnosis and treatment. If we are concerned about a western pathology you will be referred for further diagnosis.
